What is Treadmill?
The treadmill is on your plot. Training and buying ranks raise Speed, which is what makes escapes, contested nests, and Update 5 zones possible. The game does not publish a Speed number for each zone in the sources used here.

How do you get Treadmill?
It is part of the starting plot. Ranks are bought with cash from hatched Squishies.
How do you use Treadmill?
Stand on it between steal attempts. Buy a rank when clean escapes fail. If escapes are already easy, buy plot income first so you can afford the next Speed block.
